Ride Designs offers our custom seating products exclusively to suppliers that employ Ride Certified Practitioners. This is done primarily in the interest of client safety. Ride custom products, when used correctly can greatly benefit the client. Incorrect use of Ride custom products, however, has the potential to cause harm. In addition, our comprehensive 2-day certification improves the implementation of the orthotic and prosthetic principles and reduces the need for remakes and returns.
Ride offers two levels of certification:
Level 1 certification, which may be completed in the field, allows for the purchase of Ride Custom AccuSoft Cushions and the Ride Custom Back with the soft, AccuSoft foam liner.
Level 2 certification allows for the purchase of all Ride custom products including the Custom AccuSoft Cushion, Ride Custom 2 Cushion and Ride Custom Back with the ultra-breathable mesh or AccuSoft foam liner. Level 2 certification is only available at Ride’s facility in Littleton, Colorado.
Did you know we also offer an elective, one-day course that has the potential to significantly elevate the custom seating skills of those who attend?
Our Hand Skills Lab takes place on the day prior to the start of each Ride Level 2 certification course. Guests experience intensive, hands-on training with the industry’s top wheelchair seating experts. Students will learn best practices in the use of Ride Shape Capture tools to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

One of the advantages to Ride custom products is that they can be modified in the field. Students of our Hand Skills Lab will learn and practice modification techniques such as accommodating for growth and weight change, adjusting lateral support width and size, adding enhanced reliefs, altering custom cushion contours, and so much more!
The Ride Hand Skills Lab is recommended for and applicable to existing Ride Certified Practitioners as well as ATP and Seating Tech teams. All practitioners who are seeking to transform custom seating skills are welcome and encouraged to attend. Class size is very limited to allow for individual instruction. Please register early!
